Sidama is a regional state of Ethiopia, covering 6,777 km² — 0.6% of the national territory, 11th of the 12 regional states by area. Its administrative centre is Hawasa. Its projected 2022 population is 3,987,457 — about 588 people per km². It comprises 5 zones and 37 woredas (districts).

Sidama, a regional state since 2020, rises from the shore of Lake Hawassa into densely settled coffee highlands; its arabica, traded under the Sidama name, is among Ethiopia's best-known exports, and its capital Hawassa is one of the Rift Valley's largest cities.
